Important Info for Mini Festival Presenters

Thanks for being a part of our upcoming National Pollinator Week mini-festival on Decatur Square, Saturday, June 15, 10 am - 1 pm. This email gives you some details you’ll need to know as the date gets closer. 

 

The map below shows the Decatur Square area. We will be setting up in the area situated between the Decatur bandstand/gazebo, the MARTA plaza and historic old DeKalb County Courthouse. Tents and tables can be set up in this area. Set up begins at 9:30 am on Saturday, 6/15. There is some shade there, but some of the area is sunny. If you’re bringing an event tent, maybe take a sunny spot so those without can be shaded. 

 

The map also indicates the best areas for unloading/loading and best parking. If you’re not a Decatur resident, you may want to download the Park Mobile app. It makes paying for parking and keeping your meter fed easy. Decatur is zone 7801.

 

To date, festival participants include Beecatur, Sierra Club of Georgia, Southeast Beescapes, Beech Hollow Wildflower Farm, Woodlands Garden, Monarchs Across Georgia, Honey Next Door, Savannah Bee Company and Campfire Kids. The Decatur Square area gets a lot of foot traffic, so we’re hoping for good turn-out!

 

We do not have a rain date for this mini festival. In the event of impending inclement weather, we’ll let you know the evening before about any cancellation decision. Should a weather cancellation happen, we would try to hold the event later this fall.
